36 Inch Electric Fireplace Insert Wall Mounted with Timer

We’re extremely happy with our purchase of this electric fireplace. It’s easy to set up and install. The heat output is fantastic, it heats up the room very fast and it’s quite too. Another amazing function is that it has choice of frame colors, we love it. Highly recommended!

This was an easy project once the hole was in the wall and it was framed out. The insert is easy to install with the glass front giving you a bit of wiggle room when you cut and frame. We added 2x4 framing laid flat so it only stands 2” off the wall and shiplap top to bottom. Faux mantle from Costway and away we go! Had to wire a new outlet in our closet near the new opening and simply punched a small hole to push plug from fireplace through to reach new outlet. Heat works fine but didn’t purchase as a heat source only aesthetic. I like the multiple color options but as one buyer pointed out there is a beep each time you change features. I really don’t care but my little pup doesn’t like it so much. Buy this now, you won’t regret it. This is the 36” if anyone is wondering.

We live in an older apartment and I kept the fireplace covered with a big slab of granite for over a year. I started shopping for fireplace doors, but decided that was too much work and money for an apartment. So glad I found this! Feels like a whole new place now and it looks so much better. I used some dollar tree mini wood crates to elevate it for a good fit. And peel and stick floor tiles to cover up the ceramic tile and dirty grout. Fire place opening measured 36x24. I was worried this would be too small, but the next size I could find was 36x26? Strange. But this worked out better than expected. I did remove the entire track that held the old metal screen. Oh, and the back/body is NOT chamfered (slanted). So keep that in mind as some other models do accommodate the slanted firebox. Because it’s not slanted, I do have about an inch of overhang. But I still love it. Puts off a good amount of heat (even near a window with poor insulation). Very happy with purchase so far. I hope it lasts!
