I use this base very well. I bought one before. It can hold the umbrella firmly. It is not afraid of blowing the umbrella down in strong winds. The quality is also very good, so I bought another one.

Sand makes them much heavier than water.

This umbrella stand works perfectly with the 9 ft offset cantilever umbrella. Easy to set-up, just fill with water and place the brackets in. I do wish I had chosen brown to match my deck, but no color to choose when I bought it, so make sure you choose accordingly. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase, and you will be too.
