Works well and works great... when you get it built. Instructions leave a bit to be desired.
Overall, I'm happy with the shelf. It's sturdy, hold my muzak players, and looks good in the process. The directions are ok. The pictures have a few inaccuracies, showing a bar or a hole that might not exist... I like to think I'm pretty good at putting together this kind of thing. I've put together many IKEA items with no issues. This I had to take apart twice in the middle of building to fix something that I had not noticed was facing the wrong way or upside down. Again this is mostly to do with the lack of instructions, and anyone who is handy-ish will get it figured out l, albeit with a little frustration maybe. But it wasn't a bad deal, and when done it works well for holding media players. The larger openings are big enough for standard 19" rack mountable items.
