Sturdy with a large footprint
I got this base for my 15ft double umbrella. It works pretty well with this base since it’s got a really wide footprint. It’s quite heavy at 40lb even though it doesn’t look it. The base is just one large flat sheet of metal. I like that it’s pretty low profile and not bulge up like most standard base. It’s less of a trip hazard too. The assembly was pretty easy. It took me 5 minutes to set up. The main beam is screw on. Pay attention to the 4 little legs. They are just wedged in there and can pop up if you pull it. It does provide good grip if you’re on a smooth flooring surface. Overall I’m happy with this base. Pretty sturdy.

Good building quality, worth the investment!
The product is as described. It comes in two parts for easy transport, with the rod part screwed tightly to a base of soldered threaded bolts. Once you tighten the rod to a considerable torque, the rod is actually hard to get back, which is good. The base weighs nearly 50 pounds, and I used it to hold up an 11x9-foot umbrella without any problems. Good construction quality, high quality steel material and thick powder coating. It's worth the investment.
