Letter Size Lateral File Cabinet with Lock and Bookshelf

Wasn't sure of the quality at this price but it is a great sturdy piece and the drawers go together much easier than I anticipated.

It’s a very nice looking and stylish cabinet. It doesn’t take up too much space. I bought 2 of them. This company has excellent customer service too. They go above and beyond for customers. The rods for the hanging folders are removable so you don’t have to use the bottom drawer as a file cabinet if you don’t want to. I recommend going to the hardware store to get some metal rods custom cut that are thinner if you’re going to use it as a hanging file cabinet. It’s only going to cost you like $10-$15. I think this cabinet looks good in the kitchen too. One of my friends has it in her kitchen as like farmhouse rustic style the way she decorated it. It’s cute. I think it goes with anything as far as decor goes.

New office, needed a little bit more locking storage but also wanted a bookshelf. decided to get this instead of two separate pieces since this looked nicer. Putting together was a challenge and would recommend a power tool-but looks great, locks well and suits my needs perfect. Only bottom drawer locks and isn't the sturdiest file cabinet. Might be frustrating if using it daily since the file drawer bars are rounded and the hanging folders slip sometimes. Otherwise great look, good size and very happy with my purchase.

Pros: I love the look. Easy to assemble if you take your time and follow the instructions. All pieces were very well labeled. Cons: Hanging file folders do not hang straight and have to be on a angle (this was my sole reason for buying this). Disappointed that my files just won’t hang straight. And if you are wondering, the holes are pre drilled so I couldn’t have messed it up. I would also buy sturdier drywall anchors as the ones provided aren’t great.

It’s like most things at this price point - “real” furniture is many times more expensive; so I was fine with spending less and lower expectations. This took a couple hours to put together with my teenage son. One of the steps wasn’t pictured well and had to go back and change how the track was screwed in - plus the tracks warp a bit if screwed too tight. Drawers would be nicer if they glided better - but they are fine really.
