Retro Cast Aluminum Mailbox Security Postal Letter Box with Baffle Door

Was mowing the lawn on my riding lawnmower. Tried to get close to the old cast iron mailbox and knocked it over. It was over 20 years old and rusting. I was dreading trying to sand it down and paint it because of the intricate bas relief. Plus trying to pick a color to paint it. At first, I found a new pedestal mailbox on Home Depot for $179 but it was plain looking. Then I looked on Costway and found this one that looked similar to the original. Once it arrived, I found out it wasn't just similar, it was exactly the same as the old one. Only difference is that the old one was cast iron and weighed like 50 pounds and the new one is cast aluminum and only weights like 10 pounds. Also, aluminum doesn't rust. I figure my lawnmower mishap of knocking over the old one saved me hours of sanding it down and painting it. $139 was super worth it. Love the new mailbox. The black looks classy too.

We finally upgraded our 20 year old beat up mailbox. It was all rusty and dented. Which made this upgrade much more significant. The mailbox looks really fancy and it looks great standing in front of our house. It probably raised my property value. The assembly was pretty simple. It took me about 10 minutes to assemble. The set did come with 4 concrete anchor bolts. So you’ll want some concrete drill bit to secure it onto the ground. It’s quite sturdy once all four bolts are in. Overall it works great and we now have the best looking mailbox in the neighborhood.

This mailbox is easy to install, and it is very stable. It is made of heavy metal. Also, the mailbox looks so cool and well designed! It is designed for keeping envelopes, magazines, some flat packages and etc. Also, the mailbox is locked by a key which can protect the mails safe. It is large and can hold a good amount of mails. Also, the top of the mailbox is designed to avoid the rain go into the box. Highly recommend!
